MASI: emergency ventilator developed in Peru

Logos de aliados del proyecto MASI

MASI brought together universities, private companies and engineering teams to create a functional emergency ventilator when imported equipment was scarce. DIACSA contributed electronic systems, firmware and PCB manufacturing to help turn a critical need into real medical equipment.

Role as a technology partner

DIACSA participated as a technology partner, contributing firmware, electronic systems and PCB manufacturing within a multidisciplinary development team.

What was achieved

Project result

MASI received exceptional authorization from DIGEMID/MINSA, more than 300 units were manufactured, and the project was recognized by international institutions for its documented clinical evidence.

MASI is truly leading the way in building evidence of clinical efficacy.

MASI shows that Peruvian engineering can respond to urgent public needs with serious, validated and locally manufacturable technology.
